1947

Founded in Chattanooga, Tennessee, by local athletic trainer Lee Jensen and his business partner Jack Walker, the Chattanooga Group began as the Chattanooga Pharmacal Company.
1948

Chattanooga entered the hot and cold therapy market with the introduction of the Hydrocollator® Moist Heat Steam Pack®.
1958

Launched the ColPac® reusable cold therapy pack.
1977

Released the first motorized traction system, the TX® Traction Unit.
1980

Introduced the Triton® MP-1 Traction System.
1981

Launched the first Intelect® device, the Intelect® 200 ultrasound unit.
2002

Chattanooga Group acquired by Encore Medical, which became the world’s largest physical therapy, orthopedic, and chiropractic product manufacturer.
2004

ARTROMOT® CPM and Compex® added to the product portfolio. Released the Vectra® Genisys electrotherapy product line, the first modular therapy system.
2006

Released the new Triton® DTS Traction Therapy System.
2007

ReAble merged with DJO, a leading orthopedics company. ReAble acquired Saunders and Iomed, along with their home traction and iontophoresis ranges.
2011

Introduced the world’s first wireless muscle stimulator. Intelect® RPW Shockwave and Montane Tables launched.
2012

Intelect® Mobile RPW and ARTROMOT® Active-K launched.
2014
